This was our last day in Madrid and we were headed to Lisbon bright and early the following day. When I say early, I mean early…we left the hostel at 4:00am to get to the airport.
The over night bus to Madrid was pretty rough on the group so we had a chill first day. These photos are from our second day in the city. The first day we visited the Museo Nacional Del Prado and walked around some. We were so tired we called it a night while it was still night out. We rested up and started the following day with churros and cafe con leche! It was delicious. We had a great second day full of sights to see and go od food.
These are other photos from Barcelona that my friend took.
I absolutely loved Park Guell. We spent pretty much our whole last day in Barcelona at this park.
Randomly stumbled upon this happening in a square. It was so cool to watch! I loved the music.
BARCELONA
The more we walked around the city, the more I fell in love with it!
We visited the Sagrada Familia and spent quite a bit of time there. It was one of the most interesting things I’ve ever seen. I definitely have never seen anything like it.
Beautiful morning in Barcelona spent walking around. We had to go to the bus station to get tickets to get us to Madrid, our second stop of the trip.
We did a lot of traveling the first day but we were still able to enjoy the afternoon and sunset by the port near our hostel.
SPRING BREAK 2012!!
We were off to Barcelona, the first stop of our trip.
Last night in Prague before leaving for 10 days on spring break through Spain and Portugal!!
We had culinary class tonight and made small individual cakes covered in fondant and Irish Coffee. The cakes were a bit too sweet for me, I’m not sure if I like fondant, but the Irish Coffee was really good! I loved the cream in it.
I got to skype Nicole for a short bit before leaving as well! Always nice to hear from the family.
Also gave myself some layers right before leaving…
WOW. It has been a really long time since I’ve uploaded any photos, so sorry for the hold up. I’ll start back up with the time I spent in Prague after returning from Milan only to leave on spring break two days later…
My literature class visited a Jewish cemetery to see the grave of Czech author Franz Kafka. We were reading his novel, The Trial, at the time.
